When I heard this was a mafia romance I have to say I was intrigued as that's not something I've read before. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it quite as much as I anticipated I would. I found the flow to be a little herky jerky, jumping sometimes shakily from one intense situation to the next in an abrupt way. Abrupt is actually an apt word to sum up a lot in this story, the characters and their relationships felt this way too. Not really what I was expecting and not fully formed, it felt like. There was just enough there to keep me going but I struggled to fully connect with any aspect of this book.
