mkjacobswrites 's review for:
Dial A for Aunties
by Jesse Q. Sutanto
This is a hard book to rate; I decided on four stars because I think the writing was really accessible and the family relationships were done well. The romance was, unfortunately, underdeveloped for my taste, with flashbacks that were almost entirely superfluous and a repetitive "we'll talk about us when we have time" in the present that never got resolved satisfactorily. The plot itself, with the murder and more, was SO ridiculous in a both fun and crazy way.
