Resting Scrooge Face
by Meghan Quinn
This was short and sweet! Nola is this sister of Ryot whose story we got in Untying the Knot. What’s extra fun about this story is that it takes place in the hometown where they grew up, Bright Harbor, which is near Port Snow, the town we love from Quinn’s Getting Lucky series. I loved that this story was somewhat told through the letters back and forth between Nola and Caleb. The small town characters were so much fun. I would love to spend time in this little town near Port Snow. And I was definitely left smiling by the end of the story.
The only complaint I have? That it was so short! This short story from Meghan Quinn who has most of her books these days at least 500 pages long was like sharing an appetizer at a restaurant with a group where you only get one bite or taste of it. I needed more! And now I can only wait as patiently as possible for her to give Ryot and Nola’s brother his own story some day.
