I'd say it's pretty good as an intersectional YA novel, dealing with nationality and sexuality together. However, the book just seems to have many inconsistencies with itself and jumps around too much and too drastically. The decisions made don't really have much reasoning behind them so it makes it pretty confusing. Lastly, it does follow a lot of teen book clichés, so I wouldn't recommend it as just a fun read if you aren't into that. It is an interesting read, though, when it comes to learning about culture and intersectionality.
