I’m very overwhelmed. This book was, first off, disgusting and triggering. However I was captivated the entire time. I was gripped by the story and was constantly trying to figure out where it would go. I felt like I was the main character. Nothing about this book is in anyway similar to my life, but the way it was written I felt like I was young Vanessa. Older Vanessa at times really pissed me off because of how she acted though thinking about everything she’d been through her choices made sense.

I hate to say this was “disgusting in the best way” but I am not sure how else to put it. This topic is like a field of land mines, it could go wrong at any second and I felt like as a fictional story it was written and handled the best way possible.
