This book took me by surprise! It was on the new shelf at the library and I remember wanting to read it before. I just have to point out that her name is Eliana “Ellie” and that’s what my brother is naming their baby! Haha. Anyways, this book was such a punch in the heart. Oh my gosh. I really think this needs to be required reading in school. It shines such a light on bullying. It not only applied to her school but her own family. It just made me so sad to see how she was treated by the people she was supposed to feel the safest with. Just be prepared to cry at various times in this book! I loved the heavy influence of a therapist because we need to get rid of the negative stigma. She does so much for Ellie and I think it’s so important to shine a light on that. Loved this one!
