Chloe Baker's Lost Date by Katie Wicks
3.0
Chloe Baker's Lost Date is a rom-com that had a great concept but fell a little short for me. I personally had a hard time getting into this book and I didn't relate to the characters. I had a difficult time with the negative body image talk by the main female character. She was very focused on calories and having to run after she ate so she didn't gain weight. As a parent of 2 young girls, that kind of culture is not one I want to partake in or read about in my free time. I wanted to be the one to root for the main characters but I didn't really feel their connection. If you enjoy closed door romance, the blind date troupe, and some banter then this might be a book you read. If you are a fan of her other books then I would definitely give this book a try.
