I've never heard anyone talk about this book and only happened to stumble upon it at my library, but it was so good! Ancient automaton stories spanning millennia, a modern-day protagonist running for her life, and a relic that ties them together but is so old that no one can read the inscription... seriously, so much happening. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what would happen next.
