Giselle is an honours student and ice skater, who is spreading herself too thin with extra-curricular activities, feeling like she can’t please anyone. She has just come out of a bad breakup when she meets Primrose.

Primrose is a member of a shady campus organisation made up of working class students who hit back at the rich preppy kids who hurt them. Her role in the organisation is to make guys fall in love with her then break their hearts. But her latest target is Giselle. But that makes it easier, because she’s straight, so no chance of catching feelings and compromising the assignment, right?

I loved this book. It was a real page-turner. I think I finished it in under 24 hours.

I loved the characters. Primrose and Giselle had strong voices, so it was easy to tell which PoV each chapter was from, even without the chapter headings. I got really invested in both characters, wanting to know more about them, and really feeling for them. I loved following them as they grew and tried to work through their issues, and help eachother do the same.

The large cast of side characters were all fun too.

The story and set-up felt really unique, and drew me into the story immediately.

There was a third-act breakup, but it felt necessary and realistic for the story, and was handled really well. It really felt like it added to the story, rather than detracting from it like it can in romance stories.

Overall a really great story that I heartily recommend!.
