THIS BOOK is exactly what I needed to get out of my reading slump. I hear a lot about this book, some good, some bad, but I never really felt drawn to reading it. After finishing a book super emotionally draining, I wanted something I didn't really have to think about; and this was it! Not that it doesn't have good points in it; they're just not hard to find, get it? Sometimes you need to read things like that.
I also loved the Bachelor-like situation. (I'm a sucker for reality tv and The Bachelor is one of my favourites!) Throw in a prince and dystopian, fear-inducing situation and you've got The Selection! It's fun, easy, and great for reading slumps! If you're on the fence about it, just go for it!
