Norwegian Wood
by Haruki Murakami
When I began this book I really liked it. The writing style is very appealing and it reads very fluent.
In the middle of this book I was waiting for things to happen. I still liked the writing style and it still read fluent, but I felt like nothing was happening.
From the moment Watanabe visited Naoko, it became better again.
Still, nothing big happened, but I think that’s what it’s about.
Actually, I found it quite a depressing story. I mean, there are A LOT of suicides and A LOT of characters are depressed. And there’s nothing wrong with that, it’s just not very pleasant to read about. But that’s maybe what it’s all about. Growing up is sometimes depressing and it’s not always sunshine.
I kinda liked, but also kinda got disappointed.
Maybe his other books I’ll like better.
