Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score was a humorous, small town, romantic suspense that I couldn't put down, but there were a few things that bothered me. I enjoyed the relationship that Naomi builds with Waylay and with the town of Knockemout. The way that Knox and Naomi want love but are afraid of it created some great drama between them. The suspense around Naomi and what's going on with her kept me reading even when I felt like scenes jumped ahead before a character or the plot was fully ready. Having a diverse cast of characters is often a positive, but the beginning of this book felt very in-my-face about it. Overall, I enjoyed Things We Never Got Over, but like other Lucy Score books more.
