The middle book of a series can drag, but the plot was really well-paced in this third installment of the Air Awakens series. I really enjoyed getting to know the characters more, and was moved by how much Aldrik and Vhalla are willing to risk to fight for their love.

We also learn more about Aldrik’s inner demons, the ugliness of politics, and unlearning everything we thought was right. Be prepared for a lot of emotions, steam, and a shocking ending that will make you pick up the next book immediately. I truly cannot get enough of this series!
