Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
3.0

This wasn't remotely what I thought it would be. I think because it was so hyped up I didn't like it as much as I would have otherwise.
I think Rainbow Rowell is a good author after reading this book but it didn't blow me away like people said it would. It wasn't anything overly memorable, it just kinda is.
I didn't like Eleanor, I found her hard to sympathize with. I didn't see her as a tragic character. I liked Park, I thought his character was absolutely adorable. I hated the way she acted with him, always second guessing him. I didn't think of this as a tragic love story, they were two teenagers running from the realities of the lives they didn't want to be a part of. Did they love each other? Maybe. But it didn't seem like it to me.
I don't know .. I don't want it to sound like I think it's a terrible book, because I don't... I just didn't think t was anything special.
