Vampire, Interrupted
by Lynsay Sands
Marguerite has come to help uncover a mystery, and learning to be a detective as Tiny's partner (Tiny in previous book:A Bite To Remember). This mystery is to uncover the truth about Nicholas Nottes mother and why she left him as a infant. But as her first assignment goes under way, she is attacked by a man in black with a sword, who attempts in trying to behead her. But then her attacker disappears and Nicholas and his father Julias go out to protect her. Julias Notte has kept the truth about his mother as a means of protecting him. Marguerite fears Julias at first, especially when there are signs that they are lifemates, but because of her hellish nightmare of a 700 year marriage with her previous husband. However as she goes about trying to find clues about Nicholas' mother, she starts to realize how much she is coming to care for Julias, but he is hiding something from her that could tear down the trust she has built...This is the second time that I have read Vampire Interrupted, however that was a couple years ago when the book first came out, and Marguerite has always been one of my favorites to read throughout the series, and her book is exhilarating. A stimulating road with unstoppable action, delectable characters and a story that will take you down the road of danger, intrigue, blazing passion and a powerful love story, a story that will take your breath away when the unexpected happens, and a Delicious story that will have you feasting from the first page....A Five grade on this one!!!
My Favorite Quote:
"We are lifemates, Marguerite. There is no 'appear' about it," he growled. The air in the room was suddenly electric. Her heart rate sped up, blood moving swiftly through her veins as her breathing became shallow...
