This book grabbed me from page one and I could barely put it down to do anything else! Unfortunately for me, life has started to get back to normal and so I didn’t have the time I wanted to just sit and read all day.

We started out with a present day scene, and then the story flashed back to the past, and we spend the majority of the book in the high school days for Dare and Bay. I liked that the title had more meaning than just a love story title. You see Dare was an artist. And Bay was kind of a musician. Neither were really very public with their talent. For reasons that totally made sense. But both opened up to each other as their friendship grew and became more than just that.

I was a little unsure just why Bay’s mom was so strict about her music and the studiowork she was doing, but I guess I get that the loss of her husband, Bay’s father, would do that. And then there was Dare’s dad, wow, he was a piece of work, and it was so good for Dare that he wasn’t home most of the time. I kind of wish maybe we got some more info about why he was the way he was though.

And even though I knew there was going to be another book coming, that ending, finding out the reason that Bay hates or is upset with Dare, wow, it was definitely gutting what happened. I had tears in my eyes reading it. Now, I just need part two, The Sin of Kissing You.
