Oh, this book. At first I thought it was going to be awful - outcast girl in good fortune makes her popular, finally! shocker - but though the story took a well worn path it was way better than any stereotypical high school story.

It was painful to read at times because it reminded me of my awful school experiences, but I got totally swept away by Start and the characters Elise met there. I loved that she became a DJ and became true, believable friends with Vicky and I loved that Elise was such a great, fleshed out character. I just loved this book, it's very well written and the twists and turns kept my attention so well that I am writing this review at 6am after reading all night - I couldn't put it down.

I would love to see this book made into a film, and I don't think that very often about books!
