A Rome of One's Own: The Forgotten Women of the Roman Empire
by Emma Southon
THIS IS BOOK IS GOOD YOU SHOULD READ IT
Almost a four 3.8
Tone was strange sometimes
The history was wonderful (like could listen to 17 more books) but every now and again i feel like there was a “spark-notes” sentence something that kinda took me out. Im all for humor and sarcasm clever shit but
“a member of the pretorian guard, gtfo”
Or like
Ending someones quote with an
“lol”
We didn’t need to text it to feel the authors humor and wit, it took away from the power of the stories she was telling weaving the history.
