This was a very cheerful and loving book about adoption. Jackie loves her adopted parents fiercely and her mum especially encourages her in her adult quest to find her birth mom and birth dad. This takes her to the Highlands of Scotland to find her mother and to Nigeria to find her dad. All along she keeps good humor and is generous in her judgments of the people who gave her up.
