This is the first book by the author that I have read. I loved the character of Sallie. Some of the characters in the book were also lovable, or I could see how they came to make the choices they did.  Other characters seemed thrown in and quickly exited to move a plot line. SO. Many. Secrets. Sometimes I felt like I had whiplash with the crazy action scenes. Other times I was genuinely shocked at how some characters lives intersected off-page to be revealed at a later time. Definitely an enjoyable read, and not one I normally would have picked up.
