I've read this so many times over the years since my first read in high school. Every time is like magic even though I know what's going to happen. Even though the blurb says "supernatural romance" it's not really about that at all. It's really a coming of age story and about love for your family. I remember what it was like to be 14, that transition from child to more adult thinking and all of the unsurity that you have about the world. Who am I? What am I doing? What am I going to be? It's been well over 10 years since the last time I read this and it still fills me with the feelings of hope and wonder.
