Well.. I don't get the hype around this series. Might be an unpopular opinion, but why is everyone in love with series?🙈 Will Darkling get better? I was not invested in any of the characters 🤔 BUT my curious ass wants me to read the next book so that I can understand why...

RANT * - The extra rating is for Genya and her sass. I didn't like Alina. I don't know of Alina is with Mal because of the familiarity that she missed because they have never been apart, or love. I know The Darkling was supposed to be the bad guy, but I didn't get that vibe from the character development. I didn't learn anything about the other characters, and the writing was not what I had expected. OH GOD I have never done this to a book. I always find something to love, but this first book didn't do it for me 🙈 Maybe it will get better with the 2nd book. I will still try and read the next one to know what happens.
