What's Left of Me by Davidson King
5.0
medium-paced

Phoenix comes into Noel’s orbit after a terrifying and harrowing experience that shattered his mental health and drastically altered the way he perceived himself. With professional assistance and the patience and kindness of not only Noel but the entire Saint family Phoenix begins to feel safe even though the villain is still out there. Said villain is extremely villainous and is determined to get Phoenix back. It becomes a race against time as more victims appear but the Saint brothers are up to the challenge.
My heat broke for Phoenix and what he’d been through but there was absolute admiration for the way he slowly but surely managed to breakthrough the trauma and find himself again. Noel stood by him every step of the way and during the process the relationship between them became more intimate with a beautiful balance of sweet and steamy.
At times I couldn’t help but giggle at some of the antics/banter of the established couples and it was wonderful to visit with them all again. Each person played their part to once again find justice for another in need of their particular services.
This author had me caught from the start of the prologue to the end of the epilogue and every page in between.

“……from that horror had come something wonderful. I gained a big, crazy, beautiful family, and I’d spend my whole life embracing what I had and what was to come.”
