At once terribly disturbing and utterly beautiful. It was, for me, a complete departure from the other Ishiguro I've read, and it was a very pleasant suprise. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in the notions of medical ethics.

On second read, this is still a 4 star read for me. There are flaws, but it is still a unique way at looking at a problem that may still happen in our lifetimes.
