How to Succeed in Witchcraft
by Aislinn Brophy
A sapphic, low fantasy with academic rivals and magical parallel universe?? Sounds like a great time sign me up. While I enjoyed this and it was a good story it tried to do too much. The subplot could've been handled a lot quicker than it was and took away from a lot of other important issues. TW for grooming, it was so icky and the abuse of power was gross. What the book did well was having a diverse voice that brought to light racism and micro aggressions, well likable characters you want to root for, and fun witchy magic.
