Steve Cavanaugh is a master at smart legal thrillers and this addition to the Eddie Flynn series is no exception. While the whole series is worth reading, each can be read as a stand alone and do not need to be read in order. Two sisters make desperate 911 calls announcing their father has just been murdered by the other sister. Who is the real killer? This is a tense, fast paced thriller with some intensely graphic violence that was absolutely riveting. While I suspected the true culprit, the intricate plot kept this entertaining until the end. I absolutely loved the new characters in this one- Kate and Bloch. I can never get enough of strong, smart female protagonists and these two bring the novel to life. I will continue the read this series and look forward to spending more time with these characters.
