This is an adorable little who dunnit and I really can’t complain about it. It wasn’t even remotely on my radar and I want to give a shout out to Aardvark Book Club for letting me know this book exists!

It’s set in the ‘50’s inside the Pinnacle Hotel in New York City. We follow Evelyn, the owners daughter, as she navigates being a socialite with agoraphobia. We find out why and what she’s doing about it as we go. I’m not sure how accurate the mental healthcare given in this book was for the 1950’s, but since I don’t know I won’t comment.

There’s a stolen painting, a murdered guest, a missing child, fired employees, strained friendships - there’s quite a bit packed into just a few pages!

I really did enjoy this and I have very few complaints. Definitely recommend.
