Didn’t enjoy this one as much as Pet - it’s a prequel focussing on Jam’s mother and her role in the revolution. I liked the portrayal of Bitter’s anxiety and how helpless she feels in the face of the immense change necessary to improve the city of Lucille. It felt a bit predictable at times (I guessed a few of the twists), and although I LOVE Bahni Turpin as a narrator, she did have to do like a ‘monster’ voice for some of the characters and I don’t like it when narrators put on exaggerated voices, hurts my ears 😅
