This book had a very promising start, and I was was swept away by the beautiful prose. Unfortunately, however, after the first few chapters, the pacing was painfully slow and it took me a while to get through the book. The ending was quite beautiful, however. I did not hate this book, but it won't become a favourite either.
This was also advertised as a sapphic book, so it was to my dissapointmentwhen the mfc inexplicably seemed to almost immediately fall in love with the boy who had killed her in such a traumatising way. Perhaps if there had been proper build up to this 2nd romance, I could have accepted it, but it just feels like she falls for him because he's pretty. She even tells him she loves him when they have known each other for 12 days. Spare me. The book would have been much better with just the sapphic romance in it, especially because the 2nd romance was cheating toward her female love interest, and it made me dislike the main character some.
