I'm sorry to say that I was a teeny bit disappointed by this book. I absolutely loved Ghost Wall, Bodies of Light AND The Tidal Zone, so Summerwater had big shoes to fill and it missed the mark for me. I love slice-of-life and stream-of-consciousness narration so both of those aspects worked well. But I was reading it and waiting for *something* to click or happen, and when something did happen in the last two pages it felt quite unsatisfying. Apologies, Sarah Moss, but I'm still a fan and I recommend checking out those other books I mentioned!
