This book has weird structure. It starts slow, takes its time in describing how the village works, its religious, cultural, socializing ways. It might be strikingly slow at times, but the florid language keeps you going, as full of small stories, and folklore, and images as it is.
Then part 2 and 3 strike as a blow on your stomach and will leave you outraged and furious and screaming at how unfair we have always been.
So yes, it sure is a great read
