This is the second book in what is fast becoming one of my favourite cozy series. I love this series so much because I identify with it and I love that someone who is somewhat like me is on the page in a cozy!

Mari's New Age shop is vandalized and Keli is placed in a very tough position. Should she help out her friend and fellow Wiccan, potentially exposing herself and losing her job and friends? Or should she keep her religious beliefs private? It's a tricky situation and I love that Keli is placed in the middle because that is the reality for many of us whose beliefs and sexualities and genders don't lie within the mainstream. She's already mocked at work for her veganism, why would she want to expose herself to further ridicule? And to have your faith dismissed as hocus pocus? So incredibly hurtful.

I won't spoil what happens for you because I want you to read this book. I'm learning so much more about myself when I picture what I would do in Keli's situation. This is a book that makes you think about deeply personal things like faith and ethics but is also an entertaining and engaging mystery.
