The Promise, Part 2 by Bryan Konietzko, Michael Dante DiMartino, Gene Luen Yang

This is so sentimental to me, I have and will always love ATLA!

It was great to see what happened right after the tv show ended. I'm going to assume that Yao Do (?) is what's going to become Republic City which I think is pretty cool. It's interesting to see how the different nations interacted with each other in the colonies.

Zuko, Zuko, Zuko why are you going to your father for advice!?! Like no baby, just no. To me it kinda seemed like Suki and Zuko could start a romance soon? It was great to see Zuko's struggle with ruling, as he really wasn't raised too. I really would have liked to see more scenes with Mei and him! The interaction with Mei was limited and brief.

Seeing Toph's teaching beginnings was great, seeing the spread of metal bending is interesting as it really wasn't explored in the TV show. I loved the interact with Sokka and Toph reminded me exactly of the TV show; isn't one canon that Sokka is Toph's baby daddy?

I was so shocked when I saw Azula in part 3, she really looked demented! Seeing her in that state brought back so many feels.

Aang and Katara, now that's some real romance (unlike LOK), were everything for me. It was great to see that they still played the same roles with each other. Aang will seek her advice while her mothering spirit takes care of them and their family group. Seeing the little flash forward of them in the future was honestly beautiful. I really, really wish we had a TV show about that!

I don't really believe that Aang would agree to kill one of his best friends no matter how pressured he may have been, I mean he didn't even kill Fire Lord Ozai! As well as Zuko not going to Uncle Iroh for advice, like come on!! We were past this in the TV show, now Zuko could perhaps relapse with doubts about himself but I still believe he would have gone to Uncle Iroh.
