Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood
by Marjane Satrapi
I don’t read many graphic novels, and even fewer graphic novels in translation, but I’m so glad I read this one. It covers really deep and heavy topics (war, death, protests, feminism, etc) in a way that felt really human and real, with touches of levity and humor and so much love woven throughout. It was really well done!
