Neighborly by Katrina Jackson
3.5
lighthearted slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: No

While all of Jackson's work are smutastic romps, Neighborly takes her writing to a whole new, incredibly sexy level. Two fat femmes fall in lust, and their male partners wholeheartedly support them. Only add, never take.

Usually, I'd give Jackson's work a higher star rating, and this review might be an instance of "it's not you, it's me." Jackson's other romances have more character development and backstory, and I expected that here too. However, Neighborly is a much more straightforward erotica novella. Calvin's boxing added good flavor, and Heaven's and Tasha's fatness and blackness were celebrated as hell. The narrative doesn't have any bells or whistles to distract from the titillation. All in all, Neighborly is a solid read.
