Some of the events discussed in this book were ones I was already familiar with. However, it does a good job giving important details as to how the events of each of those days affected other events in history. There was interesting background given. I appreciated that there were further reading sections at the end of each chapter. I think it incentivizes further research for readers and also makes this a good resource in history courses when used for teaching purposes. A good quick read if you want an overview of important events in American history.
