this was a nice but for me pretty typical fairytale story just set in a similar or same setting as the entire grisha verse is set in - a fantastical russia?
it’s a nicely written story and has all the typical fairytale ‘ elements that are well known and used. so if you love that kind of story and writing? go for it.
