What a way to finish the 13 Kingdoms trilogy. I was captivated from page one and loved every moment of Jack and Sebastian’s latest adventure. The world building, the character development, the plot and pacing are once again all on point giving us another wonderfully balanced read.

Sebastian is in relationship trouble after not telling Jack who he really is and Jack is not prepared to let it go too quickly. They manage to navigate their way through the crises, with some angsty moments, and make their way to Sebastian’s kingdom to see his ailing father, the King. Circumstances have them embarking on another wild adventure in an effort to save the King from death.

There’s plenty of new characters and creatures to keep things interesting, steamy and sweet moments when Jack and Sebastian get themselves back on track and a very happy and timely reunion between two siblings. You do need to read the previous two books in the series as overall story arc threads are neatly tied up in this final instalment.
