This was a spicy book in the sense of number of open door scenes. So much so that there is a d*cktionary disclaimer at the beginning so you know which parts/chapters to skip over.
I loved this book, especially the mental health representation with Poppy’s anxiety and panic attacks, which I found incredibly relatable. The dual POV added depth, allowing us to see both sides of the story, and the short chapters kept me hooked—I couldn’t put it down! Poppy, with her intelligence and anxiety, is a character I deeply connected with, while Logan, respectful and charming, truly left me speechless. Jess Christine did an amazing job making the characters relatable, and I found myself connecting with Poppy in so many moments. Logan’s respect for Poppy’s boundaries was heartwarming, and their chemistry was electric. This captivating, emotional, and witty debut is a must-read, and I can’t wait for book 2!
Spice Rating: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Tropes & Warnings:
