absinthe 's review for:
When Breath Becomes Air
by Paul Kalanithi
emotional
reflective
slow-paced
A reflection on life and death in the face of a terminal disease. I was most affected by the epilogue (written by Paul's wife after he had passed away). I found that the sections referencing either scripture or literature dragged a bit for me (simply because I wasn't interest in them and I didn't connect well to them). Overall it was a worthwhile read, but I don't see myself re-reading it.
