The author went on too many tangents about other things happening in history that were only loosely related to what was going on. The parts of Kitty’s actual murder were well written and detailed but I did not need to know about the history of the killers favorite baseball team, the Worlds Fair, or which famous person used to live in or near Kew Gardens.
