This was definitely something different to read. It was a book about survival and doing anything you could to stay alive.
I could never imagine being placed in the situation Ashley (the main character) was in. After discovering her boyfriend with his ex she runs off getting lost in the woods for 2 weeks. There’s a lot she has to do to survive, a lot of things most people wouldn’t dream of. Some of the things actually made me cringe and put the book down for a moment ... some things made me want to stop reading but I didn’t and was glad for it.
This was a pretty eye opening story about how little most people know about the wild and how to survive in it. I don’t think I could have lasted that long fit and healthy with a pack of supplies let alone injured and with nothing but the clothes on my back ...
