This was so cute 🫠
The side characters MADE this book - I need a side novella for each of them just so I can spend a little more time with them.

I did also love August and Jane - but I didn't like how literally everything went "right" for August. Like sis took a month off school to sit on a subway with Jane and still has a 4.5 GPA.... in what world? Also the power imbalance of her and Jane's relationship bothered me if I thought about it too long.
Jane is fully reliant on August to "be there" in order to be remembered - and when she gives up literally her whole world as she knows it and gets mad ONE TIME August freaks out.
Like hello - a relationship is two people WITH feelings.

I did really enjoy the time travel aspect of the book. I thought it played into the "science is weird and we don't know everything" aspect that made the book more believable. Especially as an engineer where so many tests are "lets throw it all together and see what happens" - it pleased my science heart.
