SPOILER ALERT!

One of the things that really stood out to me was the slow-burn romance between Violet and Xaden. Their chemistry is undeniable, and their banter is witty and engaging. But what really gets me is the way Xaden looks at Violet - like she's the only person in the world. And that kiss?!?! I ship them so hard!

I also appreciated the way the author explored themes of loyalty, duty, and sacrifice. The world-building is rich and immersive, and the dragons are truly magnificent creatures. I loved learning about their different breeds and abilities, and I'm excited to see more of them in future books!

Rebecca Yarros's writing is pure magic, weaving together a complex and suspenseful plot with deep character development and rich world-building. The characters are multidimensional and relatable, and the romance is both intense and passionate. The themes of resilience, determination, and loyalty are expertly explored, and the twisty plot will keep you on the edge of your seat. I highly recommend this novel to fans of fantasy, adventure, and romance. Rating: 5/5 stars.
