Wow! I loved this book. LOVE. Laurie Frankel is an absolute favorite author and her style apparently just speaks to me because I could not put this down.  I am obsessed with happy stories about "non-traditional" families and every single character in this book was a delight. The banter, the care, the self-assuredness was both endearing and inspiring. The different POVs and time hops were just perfectly put together and all the discussion on adoption and choices and family were SO IMPORTANT, well done, and should be shouted from the rooftops.  No life path is linear and there is so much power in knowing what is right for you IN THE MOMENT and understanding that priorities, goals, needs/wants can change and to not dwell on the future or what ifs.  I adored every moment reading this and was honestly left sobbing for quite a bit at the end.

Note: I listened to the audiobook and HIGHLY recommend it!
