I did enjoy this book, the writing is really good and I enjoyed the overall plot. However, I felt that the romance needed more time for me to be invested, though I did get more invested towards the end, but I still feel we didn't really know who Hun-Kame was enough to feel for him. The ending was a little too open for my liking but I was still satisfied with it. Also, I loved the mythology elements as I've never read one based around mayan beliefs before. Overall, a good read.
