The Professor Next Door by Jackie Lau
3.0

I just finished "Her Big City Neighbor" and decided to skip around and read this book as it appealed to me the most!

Nicole has been burned before in a long term relationship and now craves nothing but her independence. However, years of surface level hook-ups who constantly move on to greener pastures has left her feeling lonely. Soon, she meets her neighbor David and the two become quick friends and then something more.

The Good
Nicole and David had amazing chemistry. I loved watching their relationship grow. I'm a real friends to lovers enjoyer and I liked seeing them fall in love with different parts of each other and become so vulnerable when they had such hard walls before. I found the Grandma to be really cute and a hilarious. I also love how Lau incorporates so much culture into the books through the inclusion of so much food. They way she describes it makes me want to take a bite!
