TBH if this weren't a part of a reading challenge, I would have DNF-ed. Wasn't a fan of the tone and our main character was insufferable. It feels like this was trying to shove as many hot button topics (ex. nonbinary-ness, ethical polygamy, age gaps, etc.) into the plot when it should have focused on the perimenopause and dealing with the trauma of a difficult birthing experience (which I thought were done VERY well). I'm actually surprised that I wasn't a fan of this book because I really enjoyed 'Kajillionaire' (written and directed by Miranda July).
