This book is about a hedgeHog that just wants to be left alone for the winter. Everytime someone comes knocking asking for a place to stay he turns them away,and “fortifies” his home. That is until his fortifications destroy his home. How he is the one seeking shelter. I really like the message in this story, but what puts it over the top and gives it a 5 star rating is the illustrations. They are both fun and serious. They are colorful and fancy, and just perfect for the story they are telling.
