The Velveteen Daughter by Laurel Davis Huber
3.0

I loved "The Velveteen Rabbit" as a kid, and for some reason (despite the words "a novel" on the cover and it being shelved in the fiction section at the library) I thought I was reading a true story. Once I got over that hurdle, I did overall enjoy the story. I found the structure to be confusing, despite naming which character was talking. They jumped back and forth in time, and sometimes you couldn't always figure out what times things were happening in. It was interesting to learn about Pamela Bianco and her life.
